The Greater Latrobe girls’ volleyball team traveled to North Huntingdon last evening to take on the Norwin Knights, and it didn’t go well for the Wildcats. Latrobe dropped the match in straight sets by the scores of 22 – 25, 17 – 25 and 20 – 25
Emma Fenton and Anna Rafferty were top scores for the Cats each recording 7 kills, with Rafferty adding 3 blocks to her stats. The remainder of the scoring was turned in by Gracie Wetzel with 5 kills, Lily Fenton with 4 kills and Maya Krehlik and Emma Blair each with 3 kills.
The scoring was set up by setters Lily and Emma Fenton who distributed 26 total assists, 14 and 12 respectively.
Defensively Baily Watson stopped 13 Norwin scoring attempts to lead the varsity squad in digs, followed by Lily Fenton with 6, Emma Fenton with 5 and Maya Krehlik with 4.

The Latrobe JV suffered the same fate losing in two-set win 9- 25 and 13 – 25. Paige Watson scored 2 kills and the trio of Elle Snyder, Ryley Quinn and Ava Krehlik each recorder 1 kill. Krehlik also chalked up 3 assists while performing her setting duties.
Defensively Ava Krehlik paced the JV squad with 3 digs while Gabby Sukay collected 2 digs.
The Cat’s are off until next Monday night when the travel to Penn Trafford to make up their postponed match with the Warriors.
