Boys Middle School Cross Country, Girls Middle School Cross Country · Junior High Cross Country Hosts Norwin and Kiski


The Greater Latrobe Wildcats were at Home today to face Norwin and
Kiski for their final home event of the season. On the girls end, the
Lady Wildcats defeated Kiski with a score of 23-33 but fell to Norwin
with a score of 20-41. The highlight of the night came from Latrobe’s
Emerson Skatell who won the race and in the process broke the junior
high course record from 2014 by Kiski runner Kierra Shreffler. Emerson
covered the 1.7 mile course in 11:07.03 seconds beating the old record
by half a second. Emerson was followed by Kyleigh Krisfalusi in 7th,
Sarah Guinther in 17th, Abbie Kunkleman in 18th, Avery Glessner in
21st, Maria Thunberg in 22nd, and Liz Wilson in 24th.

On the boys end, the Wildcats also defeated Kiski with a score of
15-50 but lost to Norwin with a score of 17-46. Leading the way for
the boys was Liam Wilson in 7th, Steven Janke in 12th, Jackson Hayburn
in 18th, Jack Gaffney in 19th, Daniel Sweeney in 20th, Quinn Matro in
21st, and Aidan Urbanik in 22nd.

The Wildcats return to action for their last regular meet of the
season when they travel to Greensburg Central Catholic on Monday the
28th at 4PM.
